Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Masyado ("we", "us") collects when you use masyado.com, and how we use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

The short version

• Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.
• We do not require an account, and we do not sell personal information.
• We do not set any cookies, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
• If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us at hello@masyado.com, we receive your name and email address (as shown by your email provider) and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to read and reply to your message, and to fix any error you report.

Emails to this address are forwarded by ImprovMX, an email-forwarding service, to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). These providers may process and store your message on servers outside the Philippines, under their own security and privacy terms (see ImprovMX's privacy policy). We keep emails for up to 12 months after our conversation ends, then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Please do not send us government ID numbers (SSS, TIN, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), payslips, or other sensitive information. We don't need them to answer, and we will delete them if received.

Technical information

Our website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google. Like most web hosts, it may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. Firebase Hosting may process this data on servers outside the Philippines; according to Firebase, Hosting retains IP data for a few months. SeeFirebase's privacy information.

Calculator inputs

Values you type into a calculator (such as your salary) are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Legal basis

We process the information in your email based on your consent when you contact us, and our legitimate interest in replying to you (Republic Act No. 10173, Section 12).

Cookies

We do not currently set any cookies. If we add analytics or ads in the future, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

We link to official government sources and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to have your data erased or blocked, to data portability, and to claim damages. To exercise any of these for an email you sent us, write to hello@masyado.com; we will reply within 15 working days.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal data and we have not resolved it, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
